DXM almost killed me. What is DXM? It is the hallucinogen that is contained in most over the counter cough medicines. Now the reason it can be in syrup's is because the therapeutical dose is so low, that it does not trigger the effects that Skywalkers are looking for. The average therapeutic dose is 15-30mg. The minimum amount required to experience hallucinogenic effects is 150mg. 300mg is where the magic really starts to happen. Close-eyed visuals galore, snowy effects in your vision, general sense of total body euphoria, love for music, desire to dance, feeling of connection with the universe.But...

This shit is so addictive and it almost killed me. It started off fun (as most drugs do). 300mg bottles here and there, and always planned ahead. Next thing I knew I was taking 1700mg daily without ever considering why or when. My whole mental state changed, not just when I was on the drug but off as well. It got to the point where walking in front of traffic seemed like a good idea and that almost happened had not some cops shown up to save me. The reason it almost happened was because of the build-up and after effects of the medicine that I had not come down from, had no sense of connection to reality and was so very, very tired that I just wanted it to end.

This shit is available over the counter and also awakened a penchant for shoplifting in me. I surmise that i stole somewhere around $20k worth in my time as a tripper, it was too easy, but shoplifting will be another topic.
